Bonsal American Expands Production at Cincinnati Facility
CHARLOTTE (6/15/2009) — Bonsal American, one the largest producers of packaged building material products in the United States, recently expanded its Cincinnati manufacturing facility.
The Cincinnati plant was the original production facility for the Sakrete brand, which was introduced in 1936. This expansion, including a renovation, has added a substantial amount of capacity and efficiency to the plant, replacing 1940s-era equipment with state-of-the art technology. This new, larger facility will also create several new jobs.
Several local officials attended the ribbon cutting ceremony held May 28, including representatives from St. Bernard Township and representatives of the Cincinnati Zoo, a longtime Sakrete customer. Members of the Art Avril family, the original founder of Sakrete, also attended.
